We obviously see a lot of
pictures, since the point of MugShots.us.org is to provide you with images of
people who have been arrested. But we don't just like depressing photos as
MugShots.us.org. Sometimes we like happy photos as well.
Yesterday, when we saw the
photos of Rob Zombie helping out an autistic girl, it made our eyes tear up a
bit. So we thought we'd talk about that today on the MugShots.us.org blog rather
than something depressing. And we think you'll love the photos.
Here's what happened: Rob
Zombie, one of the most popular acts in metal, met a young autistic girl at a
concert the other day. He asked her who she came to the concert with, and she
told him that she had come alone because she has no friends due to her autism.
Rob was moved by this, so he
took a picture of himself with the girl and then put to his Facebook page. He
explained her problem and asked people to be her friend. In less than a day, he
had garnered her more than 1,000 Facebook friends. She then sent him a picture
of herself holding up a sign reading, “Thank you Rob Zombie!”
This is the type of stuff
that more stars should do – using social media to help others and not just
promote themselves. Making a little girl feel a little bit less lonely in what
must be a very scary world for her is a good thing. And we are happy to pass it
along!
